The films that stand the test of time and delight us as they were able to snatch their first spectators, even when they would not have the same effect on us as on them, there are a number. The colors appear to us in all their vividness, the sharpness is again striking, for general plans, such as for close-ups. The blu-ray is wonderful, but if you need to opt for the dvd, be aware that the difference with the previous edition is such that it is not necessary to hesitate to acquire this new edition if you like the film. English with French subtitles and VF. I do not have for principle to watch the films in VF, but listening to one end of the VF to see its quality, I found it a little too réverbérée, the sound to me seemed overly spatialized and artificial. The VO sounds on it, which is much more natural. For supplements, see the detailed list above : these are the same in the dvd and blu-ray. The documentary in English on the making and reception of the film is a little short for being able to return in some details but done rather well around the issue. The French documentary on the vision that gives the film of the ballet interested. The intervention of Martin Scorsese, you can see the copy status before and after restoration, the demonstration was more than convincing.
